The Wonderful Dark and Gloomy

It is nearing the end of the year, where the country experiences, what I would like to call "Malaysian Winter". Of course it wouldn't snow, though I wish it would, but it rains almost everyday and the sky is dark and cloudy.

"Now hold on!" You might say. Wondering why I would enjoy the darkness of the atmosphere as oppose to most people preferring a bright sunny day. Well it's pretty simple in that a sunny day has high probabilities of it being hot. I hate the heat. Who likes the heat? Burning up and sweating. Such a hindrance and inconvenience getting through the day... and night. Yes I am one of those really rare people that still has no air conditioner in my room.

Let me break it down for you. Rain and darkness. Why I like it.

The rain comes down on everyone without prejudice, being a blessing or curse to all of us. Most people would complain about it causing them problems like traffic jams and floods. If you really think about it, the rain does not cause jams and floods. It is the poorly planned "development" of the country that caused this. Think of the rain as showing the failures of the "system".

The rain clears the air of dirt and pollution, allowing us to breathe freely of clean crisp air. The air that is free, for you and me. It releases the heat trapped on the ground into the air cooling the temperature around us, providing a refreshing yet relaxing feeling of comfort, especially when we sleep.

Then comes the darkness. The darkness covers everything with the absence of light. Hiding every detail perceivable by the eyes. Which includes the ugliness and imperfections of people on their actions. Concealing them from view, allows for focus on other things which are more pleasurable to one's self. Just like the state of having the eyes closed, but this time having the same effect without needing to close the eyes. More power to those who are adapt at making their way through the dark. Familiarizing themselves with the way things are and not what the eyes perceive them to be.

It's beginning to feel like the most wonderful time of the year.

Love Thy Neighbour

Is the only thing from me actually crippling them with my bare hands.

How can the people speak of unity among ourselves and tolerance among each other when they are the very people who go against it? How can they demand or expect respect from others when they do everything that makes people lose respect for them even more? The people in this country are shit.

Tonight, few minutes ago. I was very close in committing a criminal offense. Rayn and I were turning into a narrow lane in my housing area where we were already half way through when this old man was slowly turning at the opposite end and proceeded to head towards us slowly. Now we were already more than half way through the lane now and I assumed that seeing he was slower he would reverse a little and give us way so that we can just get the hell out of there and on with our lives. Apparently assholes are still around irregardless of age. He just waited there for something to happen. He even turned off his lights.

I had enough of that shit so I got out of the car and went to speak with him. I could see fear in his eyes when I approached him.

I asked him what seems to be the problem.
He said we were in his way.
I asked seeing that we were already more than half way through the lane, if he would have been so kind as to just reverse a little and give us way.
He goes into defensive mode saying that he was in the lane first and that we sped through.
I told him that was not what I saw and still asked if he could be so kind as to give way seeing that he had a short way back to reverse.
He refused to budge reiterating the same thing over and over again.
He also said he was driving slowly into the lane when he saw us.
I told him at that time we were already in that lane when he was turning in slowly and since he was turning in slowly he could've just stopped and reversed a bit.
I told him it doesn't matter who's in the right or wrong and asked again if he would be so kind as to just give us way.
He kept quiet for a bit and reluctantly said he would.
That was when I snapped and said "You know what? Forget it. Sorry for bothering you."

And I got back in the car and asked Rayn to reverse all the way back. There was a car on the back of our lane waiting to turn in but couldn't and was observing the whole thing.

Of course words can't describe how angry I am with the people of this kind of mentality in this country. What makes me furious is that these assholes get away with it and there is nothing I can do about it. Fuck this country. Fuck the people in this country. I need to get out of here.
