Accumulated Events

I have not been posting for a long while now, almost a month.
If anybody wonders why, it is because of a bunch of events that happened all within the same frame of time.

I'll be brief and do my best to not sound like those blogs where drama kings/queens make exaggerate their woes which screams for attention.

I got my heart broken around the same time as I took on a freelance job. This freelance job was a rush job (what else is new?) which could have been done 2 months ago by the company. However they decided to only work on it 2 weeks before the submission date. It was originally a job my mom accepted but decided to just dump it all on me. I had reservations on being able to deliver quality work within that short time frame. It was 6 pieces of work altogether. May I add my mom abandoned me during the weekend to hang out with her friends somewhere. Thankfully I managed to deliver everything despite their indecisions and countless times of changing their minds on the designs. I am even happier that the boss of that company liked my work. Here is the kicker, he is not Chinese or Malaysian.

I just received my cheque for the work which I have done today. I can hardly wait for it to bank in as I still owe my dad money for the computer which I replaced earlier this year due to lightning strike (yet again). Which reminds me to notify all of you, the experiences I have with lightning strikes blowing the computer, it comes through the telephone wire and not so much through the power outlets on your walls. The safest and most cost effective way to prevent your computer from being fried when there is lightning is always pulling out the plugs.

I am beginning to wonder yet again whether the people who share the same faith as I really know what they are doing, whether they are really sincere or just doing it out of the need to belong. Thus, I am quite disappointed with the group of people I join on weekends.

Coming back to relationships. It is ironic that whenever a girl dumps a guy, there is not really a big issue for the girl. In fact some people actually praise the girl for doing so as to maybe the guy did not deserve the girl in the first place. However when a guy dumps a girl, people tend to see the girl as the victim of being played around with. Either way the guys always get the short end of the stick.

I will tell you honestly, I am very bitter these days. Not just at a certain someone, but rather with a lot of people whom in my eyes have disappointed me one way or another. It is one thing to expect something that is rather improbable to happen, but to hope for the good that people could do which is well within their capabilities?

Here is the chorus for one of the songs from the Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Evita which suddenly popped up in my thoughts.

There is no one, no one at all
Never has been, and never will be a lover, male or female
Who hasn't an eye on, in fact they rely on
Tricks they can try on their partner
They're hoping their lover will help them or keep them
Support them, promote them
Don't blame them, you're the same
