but should manifestly and undoubtedly be seen to be done.

I do not spend time with liars or go along with hypocrites. - Psalm 24:6

I have been troubled for a few days over a topic which I have often revisited and ponder on for hours and days on end. The Christians in church. I believe I have bitched about this same topic before. However I also believed that what I wrote before was not that great of an impact. People may have probably read it and went "He ain't talking about me!" Well today I will make it clear, that I am addressing all of you Christians. All of you who go to church every weekend to sing songs to God, listen to His words. I actually just summarized all that you do every weekend. Sure you can go into detail about how you go to church to rehearse before the actual service, have "fellowship" with friends. What else?

At this point some of them are probably thinking that is not true and that they also go for cell/caregroups and their Youth Fellowship at college/highschool. It is just added quantity of the same quality.

I hate, I despise your religious feasts;
I cannot stand your assemblies.

Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings,
I will not accept them.

Though you bring choice fellowship offerings,
I will have no regard for them.

Away with the noise of your songs!
I will not listen to the music of your harps.

But let justice roll on like a river,
righteousness like a never-failing stream!

Did you bring me sacrifices and offerings
forty years in the desert, O house of Israel?

Amos 5:21-25

This was contributed by Ewokie as he too shares the similar distaste and gave his piece of mind via the passage which he strongly believes.

I noticed that the younger generation of Christians today are all about the latest Christian music, the latest album by the current popular group. Their latest concert, their merchandise. They get together sing the same songs which is the medium of helping them get along together. The thing in common they have which serves as an excuse to hang out together. Some of these people can even play musical instruments and play those music that they have listened together. Sounds pretty fun right? But that's just it. It is fun. They do it because its fun. Do they even think for one second what they are singing, what they are playing, what the song is about, who is the song for? They will be able to answer you that. But they do not necessarily put forth any true feelings when singing those songs. It has come to the point it is more like a ritual that they do, for the sake of doing. Weekend in, weekend out. Same things. With the occasional concerts which they all go to, to sing and dance and feel good about themselves.

Where are the words of God? Where are the beliefs for practice? Where are the actions to put forth and lead by example to the world? Sing and listen on weekends and that is it? Go to Youth Fellowship on Fridays, listen and get into the 'zone' for those hours and that is it? Everything else on every other day it is all about how fun they are having with their lives, with their friends or how tragic their lives are with all their problems. Not once do these people practice what they have learnt through scripture. Not once have they ever testify how the teachings that I assume they have learnt have been put to good use. Especially now, the days of the internet, I do not hear about how their faith and knowledge in their beliefs have helped them or not even hear any reviews and reflections they have on life.

I am not surprised at all and I do not feel sympathetic when people who are not Christians, criticize us Christians about our shortcomings about the things we do that are a nuisance to others. They do not even understand themselves and yet they want to go telling others on how they should live? Come on!

You Christians who weekend in, weekend out do the same rituals you do, keep to your own circle not wanting to have anything to do with others who do not share your views and interests. It has become like a clique, a society. You talk about the latest songs, the latest albums like commercial consumers.

You who get baptized who proclaim to people that you are Christians do nothing for others. Think nothing of others. Only keeping to yourselves. Showing others around you like-minded as you how good and holy you are... by doing nothing.

Matthew 6:1-18
You who do good deeds to be admired by others. You who pray in public places where everybody can see you. You who fast and act as if it is difficult that other people will admire you. Hypocrites.

Matthew 23
You who dress up to go Church and behave oh so friendly, cheerful and proper. You who give tithing but neglect the important teachings. You who look righteous and pure on the outside but are filthy and rotten on the inside.

These are among the main reasons why I choose to no longer associate myself with the place I grew up in, where people turned their backs on me. The place where superficiality and artificiality fester and thrive.

I'm Going to Make This Pencil... Disappear!

I finally was able to watch The Dark Knight last night. I went with my regular party, except this time Shawn replaces Marcus, as Marcus is in the land of rising sun. Also I found out today he watched it without us last week. Faggot.

I usually have lots to criticize about movies. This one left little to no room for me to do so. It was well laid out. After all it had two and a half hour so I guess that was enough time for them to pace things out nicely. Since I do not really have much to complain about the movie, I shall move on to the audience in the cinema.

There was this guy. Not a kid mind you. A guy who freaked out everytime the Joker's face appeared on close up during the movie. He had his fist in his mouth and he looked as if the Joker was coming right for him. *roll eyes* Seriously man... you need to reduce whatever it is that you have been smoking/taking.

Michael Caine plays his role as Alfred so naturally that I think it was a walk in the park for him, like free money. Morgan Freeman played his usual upright, righteous person with full of integrity. Gary Oldman managed to make the character Gordon a respectable and loveable character rather than in previous renditions of the character where he was just a side thing. Maggie Gyllenhaal is a better replacement of Katie Holmes as Rachel Dawes and manage to add more color to her character. Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent was able to draw attention in getting people to hear him out, his story of how he came to be who he was. In short all the main characters were fully colored and vibrant with detail that none of them seem to pale in comparison.

MY Miracle

The last day of being stuck doing nothing at the client's place. Today was not so bad as I had access to the internet for the entire day this time around.

This time around I did not feel bad about not being of any help at the workplace because it was apparent that the materials were not all ready and provided for their designer to lay out. It was pretty messy for him and I could see that. I feel bad for him though. He is a nice guy and has far more experience in terms of layout compared to me. Here is was being thrown a totally new concept created by me and also with articles that have a lot of specifics which made it least flexible. This in turn would involve more parties, relying on them to determine necessary changes which further delays the completion of the publication. I just hope everything goes well for him.

I hate seeing nice guys having to clean up the mess of other people. You might think, "Hey they hired him!" That is true, but we are all human. They should consider the shit that their employees have to go through.

I was getting ready to face the molestation and stench of the LRT when a miracle was bestowed upon me. Rayn called and offered to give me a ride home. I did not think it was a good idea because it was well out of her way. She insisted so what was I to do? I am eternally grateful for the things she does for me. I daresay these days, most girls expect to be driven. Most girls expect to be treated. Most girls expect their guys to be slaves/pets where they can be called and dismissed at any time they wish. Those are the girls that I will never get.

Thanks baby!

Loaded Retarded Transit

So I had to travel all the way to the city today because I was assigned to supervise a client's designer for the layout of their publication. I really am not needed there and I was right. The entire day I did nothing but explain a few technicalities of the layout to their designer. I feel so wasted in terms of energy and time. They had better not complain that my services sucked. They do not even have half the material ready for the lay out.

* * * * *

I had to take the LRT on the way home and boy was it jam packed. There was walls of people queuing up to buy tickets. Waiting an hour did not seem to make a difference. Just wasted my own hour doing nothing. Everybody all squeezed in tight in the train making it exactly like those train scenarios you would know about in Japan. I actually noticed on the train today... that the people who often rush to grab seats on the train are women and people with dark colored skin. Yes I am being a sexist and racist all at one shot. I do not mean to but that is from my observation. I am not talking about old women either. I am talking about women in their prime. The people with dark colored skin have a variety of people locally all the way to the continent of Africa. To think I have to do it all again tomorrow. Thank God I do not work in the city nor do I have to commute. Traveling was the hardest part.

Rayn was nice enough to take my body(because my mind was not there) to 1U to attempt to get tickets to Dark Knight again. When we arrived at GSC, the queue was up until the pie shop. I was like "Fuck this shit." and tried TGV. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were so many seats available for Dark Knight at TGV on Thursday. It was almost empty. It was cheaper too hah! After getting the tickets, I then accompanied Rayn to another boutique to get another piece. Wow she has been buying lots of new stuff these two weeks. Oh well, I guess she's in the spirit of the Malaysian Mega Sale event thing.

Young punks. I fucking hate young punks. They think they are so smart answering you back. Hey I welcome a good challenge of witty intelligent responses. Keeps me sharp. But when they say stuff to me that do not even make sense or sound like they are on topic... What the fuck mate!? I can't even give an appropriate reply. I then feel the urge to explain to them where they are currently at to keep them on the track but then I say to myself "Why should I be explaining this shit to them?" Which makes me feel like an idiot trying to explain something to someone who would never get it. Then I go "Fuck this shit." What a way to ruin/end my night. Fuck you guy. I hope the girls around you are smart enough to know you for who you are bro. Or if they are stupid as fuck, then nevermind.

P is for...

Yesterday Rayn got me from work and we headed to 1 Utama to purchase movie tickets for Friday. It will be the last week that we will be seeing Marcus for a long while as he is going to Japan for at least a couple of months. So I thought we had dinner and a movie with him before he leaves next week. Naturally we all wanted to watch the Dark Knight. Guess what? All 3 cinemas that were screening it were fully reserved. I saw 'R's all over. This was bullshit. How can they allow almost the entire cinema to be reserved? I remember that they had a certain amount of seats allocated for reservations. So the second option was Hellboy 2. I am not really expecting much from it though if it is anything like the first one.

Before we went home, I decided to get myself dinner as my dad was out of town and my mom did not want to have dinner. I decided to go for pizza as I have not had that for a long time. While waiting for my pizza I accompanied Rayn to a couple of clothing boutiques where she was looking for new threads to buy.

We both went home happy. I got what I wanted. She got what she wanted. We got what we wanted.

WANTED

So last night Rzeznik asked me out for a movie. I decided to bring Marcus and Rayn along. Marcus because our trio when brought together produce hilarious chemistry. I invited Rayn along because she wanted to watch a movie. So I thought why not kill a few birds with one stone. Yeah I bend the stone.

This time around Rzeznik showed up late because his 3rd and apparently final day of 'tranquility' had been disrupted by 2 out of the 3 women in is life that seem to cause him a lot of strife. He had to pick up his mom and sister from two very separate and distant location before finally making his way to 1 Utama.

Marcus, Rayn and I decided to start dinner without him as we were hungry and could not wait for him. I was explaining to Rayn that Marcus and I were observationalists where we look at other people and make wise cracks about them. I am not even sure if I used the word right. Needless to say when 2 or 3 of us are gathered, funnies will definitely be with us. Through our humor and insults I actually am able to see things in different perspectives as portrayed by my comrades in comedy. I am proud to know these people. Sometimes it makes me arrogant and think less of other people's attempt at humor. Either they are too clean, or too predictable or too lackluster.

* * * * *

On with the show. We watched WANTED. It is an action movie based on a comic. It is about some guy who leads a very sad, dull and insiginificant existence. One day the world that he knew was suddenly did not matter anymore where he is called to take on a greater role in life. He changes from a pathetic loser to a more confident and colored character.

This film was above average. You know how I usually had criticisms about films especially when it was not put together well. I had little problems with this one. The well distributed action scenes were enough to keep the film from getting boring. There were also pretty subtle-yet-not-so elements in the film which made it 'fuller'. Kind of like having sesame seed on your burger bun.

The action in the show was definitely fun. My suggestion is to watch this movie without caring much about the story line. It does have a decent one but if you have less expectations, you will definitely enjoy the action. This game succeeded in making me want to play a racing car game and a first person shooter game. Now when is GTA4 coming out for PC again?

Worldwide Invitational in Paris!

The Blizzard Worldwide Invitational was held in Paris, France during the weekend. I missed the opening ceremony of the event on Saturday thinking that our ISP would be too sucky for live streaming. I decided to give it a shot later in the evening for the heck of it. Apparently I was to download a 3rd party software to stream. It worked out very well actually with very minimal lag despite our connections being shit these couple of weeks.

Thanks to them providing this option, I did not feel bad about not being able to be there in person. It was on this day that Diablo 3 was announced! AMAGAD! DIABLO 3! It has been about a decade since Diablo 2 came out. Back then I did not really understood the whole story and lore behind Diablo and just played it as a hack and slash game. I was 14, come on. Thanks to the internet and emergence of many new features which make information finding a breeze I am now up to speed with what is happening in the world of Diablo, which is actually called Sanctuary.

Blizzard started off last Monday by showing a splash page on all their websites which changed every 24 hours to slowly reveal what was underneath. Forums were going crazy where people were discussing, debating, arguing over the theories of what it could have possibly be. It started out as something icy which definitely threw people off because on the 6th day, which was the beginning of the WWI, it suddenly turned red and showed the Diablo 3 logo. I was so shocked with amazement despite many people nonchalantly predicting that it would have indeed be Diablo 3. I am sure worldwide everywhere people were pleasantly overwhelmed of that news.

Anyways, the first day of convention was the usual stuff where they had game tournaments as well as some keynotes on what is to come in their future games, namely Wrath of the Lich King, Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3. Nothing that you cannot already find online by all the hardworking blizzard gaming fans. I also got to see Tom Chilton's face for the first time on video. He is the lead developer of World of Warcraft and is infamous for allowing so many changes in the game that was not for the better. A lot of WoW players hate him to the very core for allowing changes that upset whatever was left of balance in the game in terms of player vs player content.

The highlight of the first day was the costume and dance competition where we got to see people dressed up as various characters from the World of Warcraft. Some of them were pretty awful in terms of physical qualifications for the characters they were supposedly cosplaying. The dance competition was pretty mediocre which allowed the above average dancers to really shine. Regardless it was worth watching. Slept at 3am.

The following day I resumed watching. It was more of tournament finals on Sunday. Needless to say the Koreans won first and second places in all the games. Surprised? To end the event there was a live concert performance started off by the now L80ETC (Level 80 Tauren Elite Chieftains). They used to be L10ETC when Warcraft 3 was out. They then progressed to become L60ETC when World of Warcraft came out. They proceeded to be called L70ETC when the Burning Crusade was released. I guess they leveled themselves up to 80 for the Wrath of the Lich King. I was surprised to learn that the lead singer of the band was none other than Samwise Didier who is also the artist for Blizzard.

The biggest wow of the night was the performance by the orchestra Video Games Live. Where they performed famous themes and songs from the Blizzard games like Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo and World of Warcraft. They even had a guest performer. I forgot his name but he was the lead guitarist in Paul McCartney's old band Wings. I wish I could have been there for the orchestral performance. I slept at 3am on Monday morning. Was freaking tired for the rest of the day at work but it was worth it. I think it beats staying up to watch people running around kicking balls.
