Spent a lazy afternoon being lazy with Rayn, where we watched some animes and just talked throughout the day. We went to Outback Steakhouse for dinner since I had special discounts there. Since the place was Bangsar, it obviously had a sort of standard you would not normally get elsewhere as they have to serve gwai lous there.
I started off with a cup of the soup of the day which so happened to be cream of chicken and mushroom. They also gave us complimentary Bushman Bread which looked so much like chocolate cake. It was such an optical illusion that my taste buds were going "Yup that is definitely sweet."
Pleasantly surprised that it tasted like normal bread. The soup was pretty thick and chunky. It had lots of meat and mushrooms and veges too.
Quite a while after, arrived Rayn's Sizzling Sirloin that smoked our entire table with an aromatic caramelized onion scent.
The smell of it somewhat reminded me of teriyaki as it was on a hot plate as well as with onions. It was supposed to be medium but due to the sizzling hot plate, it somewhat made it more medium-well. I guess the secret to this in the future would be ordering it medium-rare.
Finally it was my order. The No Rules Burger which had everything they had for their burgers, though I asked them to hold the BBQ sauce on mine. I don't really fancy BBQ sauce on burgers. By default it has beef bacon, swiss cheese, BBQ sauce, grilled onions, lettuce & tomato, pickles & onions, sauteed mushroom and american cheese.
There is just something different about Outback Steakhouse's beef patty that taste different from other places. I find that Chili's, Outback Steakhouse, Carl's Jr. and Wendy's all have distinct tastes in their beef which are all delicious in their own way.
Needless to say I was stuffed. Of course we walked around Bangsar Village for a bit and proceeded to the Gardens and Mid Valley as Rayn wanted to walk around more. Would anybody like to revisit with me the next time around?
