Early Morning Reflections at 4am

So I read a significantly known blogger's latest article. He was sharing about how this year he would be spending Christmas all alone. Due to his recent break up. He writes about comparisons between him and her justifying why it did not work out. Through these reasons pointed out and the way it is written, it sounded like it was never meant to be. It sounded as if it was failing against "fate".

Reading the article clearly showed what was... incompatible between the both of them. Sounded like he did a lot for her, trying to fulfill her expectations whilst not giving up what he wanted to do. I will try my best to refrain from citing the really obvious points. So to whomever is oblivious or dense, bad luck. Emphasis was placed on arguing often. Arguing is caused by absence of mutual agreement. Most of the time disagreements are often caused by unwillingness to see, listen and most of all give.

I remember watching one episode of Judge Judy while I was in Australia. To the arguing ex-couple who were the prosecutor and defendant, she said "A relationship is about giving." To dumb people, they may go "what on earth is she talking about?" I thought about that sentence, it made perfect sense to me. If you're in a relationship it should be because of love. You love the person so much that you would do a lot of things for that person. It would not ever cross your mind to seem like a burden. Because you love that person. A long while back I wrote about love so I do not wish to repeat myself, unless of course by popular request.

Now, take that attitude of loving someone, put two persons who love each other. Would you think there would be much disagreements? Especially when it comes to who gets their way? It should not even matter in the first place! Once you feel it has become a burden, a chore or something you do not feel comfortable doing... you should beware that something is not right. These are the small starting signs that the relationship is in danger. Reading on many articles about what authors' view on a relationship, I would like to quote this. A relationship should be an addition to your life. It should not overwrite your existing one.

I see some people whom after they got a girlfriend, turn themselves into a different person. His entire life's schedule revolves around the girlfriend, he has to do everything for her. Drive her around, buy her things and a whole lot of other menial tasks. The guy literally is a shell of his former self, you do not see him for who he really is anymore, everything he does has to be in relevance to her or for her. That is no way to live. It is voluntarily enslaving yourself to a person who probably is just using you while you are still useful and is not depleted.

If the girl loved the guy she was with, she would understand him and not throw a bitch fit at certain things. Unless of course if a plan was set and mutually agreed upon and the guy did not fulfill it and has no good reasons for it, he deserves to be yelled at. This of course brings us to the point of communication. Interaction. A lot of arguments in relationships happen due to expectations that were not made known to each other beforehand. Also maturity comes into play I guess... If you are the type that refuses to work things out and it has to be your way, then you are screwed. You should not think about having a relationship at all.

Okay... I am sleepy now. Have to wake up in 3 hours time... Will continue later.

He Ain't Talking About Me

I like how when people are addressed generally in a bad way, most of them will continue in their described bad ways as nothing happened while thinking that they aren't the ones being addressed. The people in this country have a lot of pride. Most of them don't really know or have a good reason to be, but as long as they remain comfortably in their safety perimeter, they could not care less.

Video-object Manipulation

This just in and I had to place this somewhere. Apparently Adobe is working on a video editing software which makes editing videos seem so much more easier and even do certain things which I have not even thought possible before. How would you like to manipulate a video where you could make sure everybody was looking their best in one single frame?

Talk is Oh... So Cheap

With the way how people are throwing it these days, it certainly feels like it. It has come to the point where people are talking as if their words were either encrypted or not realizing the significance. Kind of like casting pearls before swines. Whatever happened to the days when it was... "Let your yes be yes and your no be no?"

I often emphasize and practice zealously about the proper use of vernacular. You all should know by now how fast and misguided words fly around. Especially in these current times. You will notice in the media that more popular figures are giving out so much apologetics for whatever previous statements they made. Compare this to western known figures and you will see and hear literally a world of difference. Even if they were not being honest with you, they still knew how to put it in a way that it sounded definite. In this country, when people say things, it has so much holes in it that has so much room for misinterpretations and suspicions.

You may be able to get away with fluffing your words trying to hide your true intentions. However this only works on those of inferior minds. To those who are all too familiar with such, the facade is just plain annoying and a total waste of time. What pisses me off personally is knowing what really is going on but having to go through their lines... looking at their faces to see them having the audacity.

Someone once told me that he hated being read like a book. A couple of possibilities then occur to me. Here they are in no order of priority.
1. Dislike the fact that they are predictable as if they had no control over their lives
2. Have too much to hide, however trivial it may be

To be continued in later series.

A Good Morning

I'm sayin' man... There are very few things in life worth waking up to early in the morning. And a Sausage McMuffin with Egg is worth every single bit. Currently there is the Mega Sausage McMuffin promotion going on where it has not just one... but two succulent sausages with fluffy egg and delicious melted cheese. All in a fresh english muffin.

I only wish it was convenient, affordable and healthier enough to be able to have it everyday for breakfast. To top it off, it should go with a hash brown and a warm cup of chocolate. Om nom nom nom~

Taking for Granted

I will never take for granted breathing, drinking, eating again. I had a throat infection.

I will never take for granted talking, singing, shouting again. I lost my voice after recovery.

Well Its About Time

So few people in this country ever know about Monty Python. I usually only can crack and recite stuff whenever Ewokie is around because he is the only one who knows it. He is the one that introduced me to this North American pop(ish) culture. Though I am not able to appreciate all of their jokes. There are few to me which are true gems that have been inspiration to modern day comedy.

They have finally and officially uploaded their own high quality videos here. Hopefully you guys will take a look at their stuff. Though I am sure many of the local populace might just not get most of the funnies.

Over the Weekend

Among the many things I had to do over the weekend here are some pictures I managed to capture along the way.

I met the majestic Queen of the Red Dragonflight, Alexstrasza which prior to this was only heard of in books and by reputation. She looks so much hotter than ever imagined. Standing beside her is one of her most important consorts, Korialstrasz, her most favored and useful consort; male-whore. I guess when you're Queen of all life, you can disregard your mate's feelings and just find any younger replacement.

I also went to gather some information about events that have yet to happen or have happened, with the assistance of my future self. Can't say there is any better looking person than that! Together with our uber gear and skills, we manage to wreak havoc against those that tried to stop us.

I also came face to face with Arthas, the Lich King himself... once again saying that he won't turn destroy me just yet. Apparently when you're all that powerful you tend to delay your wrath on people who seem like a potential threat to you. I also had to get into position, in front of him. I was originally on the right of him but had to position myself for a better camera shot.

Allow Me to Introduce Ourselves

Everybody is selfish. Everybody looks out for themselves. Do things which only benefit them, whether gratifications come instantly or are set to mature. This is what makes human. To acknowledge is to be honest. To be honest acknowledging it is to be aware. To be aware is power gained. The power to do something about it. Most people do not. In fact, they not only acknowledge it, they embrace it like a hidden affair that they do not want others to know, or would ever admit to having.

This very essence corrupts even the most beautiful person. The outward beauty of the person may remain, but inside they are rotten and decayed. As time goes by, it will be seen on the outside as well. Like how the living rot inside destroys everything and eventually the artificiality that is the husk.

Now most people will first think that my meaning of selfish is that of a person who is greedy and only does stuff for himself or the opposite of being generous. This is only a fraction of what selfishness is. There are many things a person does or does not, which can also be a selfish act.

Let me get one thing clear for you lame-men out there. Selfish does not mean a person who vendors fish. '-ish' is added to give some form of approximate value. Like foolish. Fool. Foolish. See it working? More to come in future writings.

Oh To Be Young Again

Well... that and especially still studying. Where I have the freedom and time to play games!

The anticipated games for the ending of this year.

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King

Wow, it has been around 3 years since I started playing World of Warcraft, back in the days when Molten Core was a big thing all the way until Burning Crusade now. Blizzard will be releasing their 2nd expansion next week. I already preordered mine yargh! If you guys have not heard of World of Warcraft, it is an MMO which takes places in the timeline after Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne. You play a character immersed in the world of Azeroth and in their first expansion Burning Crusade; the Outland. If you liked the RTS Warcraft 1, 2 and 3 this game will be a great addition in satisfying your hunger for more game lore. You will actually get to quest and adventure in the geographical setting of Warcraft! I know I was ecstatic upon finding out that I could visit the Dark Portal as well as being able to see famous figures like Tyrande and even Zul'jin.

Wrath of the Lich King shifts back the focus to Arthas who has merged with the Ner'zhul; the lich king and has begun mobilizing his army threatening the existence of Azeroth. Players will now answer the call to quest and level to 80 and beat the lich king up like a pinata and hope he drops phat epic loots that you can use.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3

Okay, I was initially very excited that they were finally creating a follow up to the Red Alert series. However as time went on and they gradually revealed more information of the game, it seem to have turned into something more comedic than focusing on the action. What makes this game worth a look is that they have outdone themselves this time around successfully getting reasonably famous actors for the characters in the game. Big names like Tim Curry, Jonathan Pryce, George Takei and that dude who played J. Jonah Jameson in the Spiderman movies. What is even more enticing is that they got hot chicks as well. Names like Jenny McCarthy, Kelly Hu, Gemma Atkinson and my favorite of them all, Autumn Reeser. They have really gone far to get famous people to promote their stuff. They even made custom video promotions on youtube as response to frequently watched videos there.

The Hoff endorses this.

Tomb Raider Underworld

Lara Croft is still going strong and she looks way better than before. She is one of the few that look hotter as time goes by. Sadly she isn't real. Tomb Raider Underworld continues off where Tomb Raider Legends finished. As far as I can remember, Lara Croft is trying to discover how to get to the land of Avalon, that of King Arthur's myth where she believes her mother is currently trapped. Prior to Tomb Raider Legend, I hated the Tomb Raider series due to its rigid and crappy controls. Upon reading reviews and promotions about how Tomb Raider Legend would be different from its predecessors, I decided to give it a try. Man did they redeem themselves. The controls were so fluid and intuitive that all you had to worry about is how to solve the level. Now with Tomb Raider Underworld, they promise even more fluid motions and seemingly real that it blends well with the environment. I've seen the screenshots and it does look real promising.

So many games, so many hours required to play them, so little time to do so... Sigh

Is it worth leaving everything behind,
Trying to pursue this so called happiness,
When it was maybe what you had all along,
And were just too oblivious?

Phone Smarts

I answered a phone call today. I don't know I think it kind of made me go double yoo tee eff.

Woman: Hello can I speak to [Name of staff withheld].
Me: He no longer works here.
Woman: Then uh... can I speak to you?

(What in the world...)

Me: What is this regarding?
Woman: Uh... this is regarding server/domain renewal.
Me: For which site?
Woman: [Name of company withheld].
Me: I see, the person in charge currently is out of the office.
Woman: Is it [Name of my boss withheld]?
Me: No, the person in charge is [Name of my colleague withheld]. If it is urgent I will get him to call you as soon as he returns to the office.
Woman: It's okay la, we have his number. We're a server/domain company you know?

(...)

Me: ... okay!

*Sigh* Do I really need to explain how things should have been done? Okay for the benefit of you people. She should have first addressed herself; who she was and where she was from followed by asking to speak with whoever she needed to speak to. At least state her reason for calling after asking for the person she needed to contact. Instead of trying to dig her way in trying to drop off whatever responsibility she has on the next most convenient person. You tell me shit I don't know about won't do any use.

After actually offering to get whoever she was looking for to contact her, she pulls this shit where she knows what she's doing by stating what her company does. That wasn't really clear to me but okay. I guess the bottom line was that she had the contacts, then why didn't she call there in the first place?

Erebētā Akushon!

How many of you remember that game on Nintendo? Where you played as a spy going down a tall building with shit loads of elevators in them. You had to transit between these unrealistic number of elevators within the one building to get to the ground floor. Of course, proving to be a hindrance are enemies dressed in black and other stuff (I didn't get really far to encounter other stuff).

You are armed with a gun and have a jump ability, which in my experience was never really useful for anything except to activate a funny sound effect when you jumped. I used to think you could jump over enemy bullets as a way of defense against enemies. Truth is it does not work that way and you only end up looking like you were jumping into position to get shot in the nuts. Which is what happens.

* * * * *

So what's up with those people that use elevators in this country? Just as they are retardedly inconsiderate at places like the LRT and eating areas, there is no exception for elevators. Ever had the experience, where you were in the elevator wanting to get out, but people are standing right in the middle of the doorway wanting to get in? I mean what the hell is that? Common sense would be to make way for people to get out, so you would have space to get in. Instead, they rather push and squeeze their way in while people are trying to get out. I wish I could shout to them to get out of my face or sparta-kick them out of my way.

I don't care if you have no manners. Get some freaking common sense. Get out of my way so I can get out of your way.

I Want Nobody But You

Now I usually don't do Korean. One of my friend who's crazy over Korean girls decided to show me one of the usual videos of Korean girls that he likes. This particular one had a very catchy tune. The dance was also very cute so yeah.

I want nobody nobody but you~

Movies Preview September 2008

Back with surprisingly interesting movie trailers I've watched.

Soul Men
Samuel L. Jackson, Bernie Mac
Watch out for, Isaac Hayes and John Legend.

Two guys who were formerly in a performing group reunite and attempt to tour around the country as a tribute to their member who died. Now what makes this movie interesting was that it made me curious as to watching probably one of the final film that featured the late Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes who passed away not too long from each other. The trailer does not promise much, it might not be as great as I would expect it to be, but I hope there will be a feel good factor towards the end.

Bedtime Stories
Adam Sandler

By now most people should know who Adam Sandler is and what kind of movie he's in. I actually made a statement before saying that his pieces have improved as years go by and had higher and higher expectations from him. Until I watched You Do Not Mess with the Zohan. I am really hoping that film was not his idea as it was put together rather poorly and left much to be desired. Anyways back to this one. Seeing that it is produced by Disney, it should have some minimum level of standards. Watching the trailer, it does look promising. Just be warned there will be a lot of parodies and rip off from other famous movies and stories. The challenge here is to see if Disney can pull it off tastefully. Knowing that it is a movie with Adam Sandler, expect a lot of famous appearances throughout the movie.

My Best Friend's Girl
Dane Cook, Kate Hudson, Jason Biggs
Watch out for Alec Baldwin.

In Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back, Jason Biggs played himself as a guest appearance making fun of himself implying that he was always stereotyped into a particular character. The sad thing is that it may be true. The movies I've watched starring him always had him be the underdog who gets the girl because of his goody-goodness. In this film he plays the typical nice guy and a girl (Kate Hudson) he's dating gets bored of him and puts their relationship on hold. He then turns to his best friend (Dane Cook) whose profession is to be a douchebag boyfriend for hire, which he hopes would get the girl to see how nice of a guy Jason Biggs is and eventually come back to him. Things of course don't go to plan whereby the more assholic Dane Cook behaves, the more Kate Hudson likes it. Expect some American Pie'ish gags to appear.

Sex Drive
Josh Zuckerman, Amanda Crew, Clark Duke, Seth Green, James Marsden

Okay the only two names I recognize here are Seth Green and James Marsden. Who is James Marsden? He is the douchebag Cyclops from the X-men movie franchise. It is about some guy (Josh Zuckerman) having a fake persona online which attracts an unknown pretty girl who wants to meet up with him. He steals James Marsden's car to drive across country to meet her. James Marsden looks pretty different now I could not recognize him until I checked out the cast information. Seth Green plays an amish in this one. Should be interesting to see how it turns out. Probably one of those average teen movies.

The Lucky Ones
Rachel McAdams, Tim Robbins, Michael Peña

Three soldiers somehow end up traveling together in a car to a common destination for respective purposes. Together they face all kinds of stereotypical misconceptions of serving their country while also having to deal with their own personal problems. Looks to me like those heartwarming hallmark channel feel good kind of movie.

Bolt

John Travolta, Miley Cyrus

Not much else is known about the rest of the cast. This 3D animation is about a dog actor (John Travolta) who has been onstage all his life acting as some superhero dog. This in time has made him think that he is actually a dog with superpowers. He gets accidentally shipped to New York and now has to find his way back home. Along the way he makes friends with a cat and a hamster/guinea pig in a ball. The cat is reluctantly forced to help Bolt while the hamster thinks he is a real superhero and is over enthusiastic on facing the dangers of the adventure.

Ghost Town
Ricky Gervais, Téa Leoni, Greg Kinnear

Ricky Gervais plays a dentist who is intolerant of other people. That caught my attention because that sounded like me, only that Ricky Gervais is worse in a sense his attitude affects others physically. Like stealing a cab or not holding the lift for someone. After a trip to the hospital he suddenly is able to communicate with the dead. Greg Kinnear plays the main dead guy who pesters him to help all the other dead people. Greg Kinnear then cuts a deal with him saying that if Ricky Gervais can stop Greg Kinnear's ex-wife (Téa Leoni) from marrying a bad person, he will not bother Ricky Gervais anymore and will make the other dead people go away.

RockNRolla

Gerard Butler, Gemma Arterton, Thandie Newton and more
Watch out for Chris Bridges aka Ludacris!

I am sure the cast has more recognizable talents, but I also think they are mostly British so yeah... I wouldn't know. Sorry. I am not really sure as to the basis of the story. Apparently its a bunch of people who are involved one way or another in the underworld and they are all trying to get their hands on some money somebody made. Kind of unclear at this point. Kind of like Layer Cake. Explosive action is to be expected of this show which includes gangters, guns and explosives.

Yes Man
Jim Carrey

Jim Carrey as a person who always says no in his life takes up the challenge of saying yes instead. This opens up a whole new world of new different experiences he could not possible have if he was in his old ways of saying no to everything. Sounds strangely similar to Liar Liar except that in this one instead of being compelled to tell the truth, he says yes to things.

Appaloosa
Viggo Mortensen, Ed Harris, Renee Zellweger, Jeremy Irons

Its not just one of them western cowboy shows anymore. This has real promising stuff such as Aragorn, Ed Harris and Jeremy Irons. JEREMY IRONS! You don't hear his name in many films these days. He probably is pretty picky with his movies so this should set the expectation bar quite high. Its a couple of cowboy dudes (Viggo Mortensen and Ed Harris) who are hired to rid a town of a bad guy (Jeremy Irons) and his bad guys.

What Just Happened?
Robert De Niro, Sean Penn, Catherine Keener, John Turturro, Robin Wright Penn
Watch out for Bruce Willis!

Robert De Niro as a Hollywood Producer faces all sorts of crises in his day job as well as his life. That's pretty much it. You'll have to watch the trailer to get the details of this in elaborate and emphasized manner. But it's good.

Death Race
Jason Statham
Watch out for Robin Shou

A NASCAR racer gets framed for murdering his wife and gets put in jail. The head of the jail is a woman who created a game show where the prisoners are forced to compete which is a race to the death. Whoever wins gets to walk out of prison free. So she makes Jason Statham compete in the game for his freedom. Think The Transporter but with machine guns, napalms and stuff on the car. This should bring more excitement than one of them fast and furious type shows. It has cars, it has guns, it has fight scenes and chicks. What else do you want?

Max Payne
Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Beau Bridges, Ludacris, Chris O'Donnell
Watch out for Nelly Furtado

Adapted from the famous computer game, Max Payne a police agent goes beyond the law to avenge his family's death making him wanted by both the law and the bad guys. Now I never completed the first Max Payne game because my computer was lousy back then. But the movie trailer did show some supernatural elements and there was talk about the devil building an army and searching for something God is hiding. The trailer had effects and elements reminding me of Constantine that starred Keanu Reeves. Whats funny is that Max Payne computer game had effects similar to the Matrix which starred Keanu Reeves who also did Constantine.

Forgot the Word

Narcissist or in a more crude term, attention-whores. They are everywhere. Most of them can be easily found in... most of them can be easily found. Obviously because they make it easy to find them. Such species are airborne going wherever they can. However their natural habitat tends to be online communities, such as Facebook, Friendster and MySpace.

I read an article where researchers claim they could use Facebook to detect narcissism, by observing the type of images and words that they use. I think anybody with a decent brain would know its already far too obvious and you do not need science to show it. The saying I can currently think of at the moment is "where there is smoke, there is fire." When people behave in a certain way, you can be sure the behaviour will fall under certain types of category.

Somewhere Over My Guitar

These are old and I have probably linked some of you these video files before. However I rediscovered them and felt like they needed to be shared once again because they are just too good to let by.

Jake Shimabukuro plays the Beatles' song; While My Guitar Gently Weeps with a ukulele. That's right. A ukulele. Imagine me already having a difficult time trying to play this song on a normal 6-string guitar. This guy does it on a small 4-string. I actually prefer this version over the original for its feel.

Later I discovered that Jake actually played this song together with Tommy Emmanuel. Which sounded like they had so much fun.

Wanting to listen to more of Tommy's stuff, I found this video of him playing his version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow. It was so heartwarming.

What would I give to be able to play like them.

Who is Paying?

Ever got invited to join a birthday dinner at a very nice place? You glance through the menu and realize that the prices are beyond what you would pay for, most likely due to it probably not being worth or should not be costing that much. So you try to order reasonably, selecting foods that are as decently priced as possible. You then notice everybody else ordering the nicer stuff. You would think whatever they order is not really any of your business as it would not affect you.

Then comes the bill. Without prior arrangement as to how to go about paying, someone just suggests that the bill is split evenly. That is when you think you just got ripped off. In that kind of situation it is pretty difficult because everybody else who ordered way more in terms of pricing compared to yours will think you are cheap or calculative if you raise the matter.

I have experienced this all too often. I have resolved not to participate in these events because personally, I cannot afford it. Or some might say I am too cheap. Either way it is my money. I decide how to manage my money. I work for my money and I decide what would be "wise investments."

Here is the article I came across which motivated me to write.
Welcome to my party - now pay up!

Do You Really?

Salutations.
This is in response to a comment left on one of my older articles... a little bit late but I never turn down the opportunity to interact with readers who take time to read what I write. This is in regards to the artificials that go to church to be seen, that go to church to fulfill their weekly ritual to feel better of themselves.

I don't think I was targeting any age generation in particular. I address all ages, because as surprising or unsurprising as it may seem... most people do not grow up. Most people do not change. Why? Because they do not see anything wrong with themselves. Most people see themselves fine the way they are. Until of course, God slaps them hard in the face getting them to wake up. Some people are not aware of this. All they can see is life being bad for them and they are dealt a heavy hand of misfortune and their lives are a big mess and a big drama. They might even proceed to go emo and be all dramatic about it.

You do not learn and get to know God better by singing songs. That is not what worshiping God is about. Striving to reach the next level of worship and offering to God is a challenge? Since when did worshiping God sincerely with all your heart and soul became a difficult thing until it became a challenge? You either are sincere about it or think you are. This is the problem with people these days. They make something look so grand and difficult as if it is a huge deal being able to successfully pull off. If you are right with God and if you are sincerely wanting to improve for the better, not just for that duration of song, for good. You will find no problems whatsoever. I think the hardest part is to be convincing enough for the "moments that matter." I know of "Christians" who put up a huge drama show over how difficult it is for them to fast. Is that something one should really be telling others? Why the need to show the world that they are suffering? What are they trying to gain? The approval of men?

It would be pretty narrow-minded of me to "judge" all the "Youth" based on a few people. It is not something that I do. If you knew me even a littlest bit you would know very well that I uphold integrity. You may know many of "them" who are "actually on fire and all out for serving" but how well do you know these people? Being all fired up and wanting to do things for God is very different to actually doing those things. Instead of giving reasons of hindrance. People can put up grand shows. People can always be in the "spur of the moment". If you are not strong in your foundation, you will crumble.

All in all the comment only touched on a very minor part. Perhaps it was selective acknowledgment. Perhaps it was just overlooked. Perhaps it was a mild attempt to voice disapproval.

Until the day it is greatly shown that there are more actions than just words or desire to act, nothing has changed. This fire as I say will die off after a short while.

Humans are imperfect yes. We all make mistakes? Yes. However "mistakes" that take years to come into fruition, in some cases, carefully planned? Unacceptable. Those are mistakes that could have been rectified, preventing the situation from worsening. I will expand more on this another time.

Ignorant Optimism will not cover the fact that some people intentionally do not wish to change. That some people actually like being in the situation they are. Especially those that are receiving all the attention. What is this attention for? I can go on and on about how action speaks louder than words, that if you cannot or do not want to put your money where you mouth is, then please do not go around making it look otherwise. Whatever a person of a certain faith say and do, will be observed by everybody else. Especially even more so on the internet. If you give people room to comment, criticize and judge, it is by your own doing. Everybody has their right to call stuff as they see. It is our responsibility to make sure that we do not give them reason to find fault with us. You cannot do as you please and expect people to be silent about it. That would be oppression. That would be willfully intending to deny the fact of events that happened. Such is the price of attention.

I always look forward to views of readers. More intellectual responses feeds my brain!

Wolf Among Sheep

Word goes around really fast. Even when I am not looking for them and minding my own business. I heard from a couple of sources that there was a scandal in a church which I attended while back in Melbourne, Australia. It sounded so absurd and against the nature of what I expected, assumed of the people in that church.

Being the person that I am, I had to find out for myself it was true. Sadly enough, it was.

Source 1
Source 2
Source 3

I just found it really hard to believe because during the time I was there, he showed no signs of illness whatsoever. However this con, as I was told only began after I left Australia. The more I thought about it, the more my disbelief and disappointment subsided and slowly grew into amusement. My thoughts shifted to the fanboys/girls who were crazy about that group. At first I was thinking how shocked and devastated they would have felt upon hearing the news. Of course my mind did not just stop there. I then proceeded to think that some of these blindly loyal fans would somewhat be in either in denial or "idiotic optimism" for a lack of better word. Perhaps it was both. Perhaps they both could just be categorized as denial. I am not really sure, have not done much deeper thought into it. Perhaps it would be deliberate ignorance? Perhaps... bigotry?

My mind calculated possibilities of reactions from these fanboys and one of the more popular and cliche outcomes would be some people trying their best to look at the good side of what happened. Ellipsis. I shudder in disgust when one of the fansites actually commented to the effects of trying to justify that the song written, as well as the whole charade, brought more people to know God and also touched the hearts of many. Something like, that was more important and that was all that counted.

Uh... no? I do not think so?

Agreeing with that, would mean that it is acceptable to use deception, to use deceit to trick people into joining the faith. To stir people's emotions using an extravagant act. This not only shows a skewered and twisted perception of the faith. It also makes a mockery, an insult to the faith. You do not draw people to your beliefs via deceptions. Giving false testimony is a sin. A sin is a wrong doing that goes against the principles of the faith. How different is it if I were to threaten to kill a man unless he accepted my beliefs? Sad to say, that you cannot justify your means. You people who are in denial, who have "idiotic optimism", please wake up. Please open your eyes. Please see that a sin is a sin. Anything that is done with sin, from sin will never bring honor.

Which again reminds me of the ignorant bigots that are in churches today. I would like to generalize people of all faith, but I do not have sufficient exposure and experiences with them, so I will only relate to one which I have well experienced. All you people who gather in churches doing your rituals. You make Jesus sad. All of you who attend concerts, buy merchandise, "congregate" and have "fellowship" amongst yourselves. You sing songs but that is all you do. They should make songs where they sing about keeping to themselves and ignoring other people. Perhaps then they could really sing those songs with all their heart like they meant it.

Gluttonous Maximus

Ah yes food. How can anybody not love it? We need food to live.... well some people live to eat. Some people would pay good money just to satisfy their taste buds and not be able to afford other things which are more... permanent. Materialistic objects if you will. Things that you can use over and over again. However that is for another time.

Tonight I share with you readers (who are actually interested or bored enough to read) my not-necessarily-expensive suggestions on ways you can pig out. Yes you can pig out, feel satisfied and not regret blowing a fortune on them! Sounds too good to be true? Well hear me out then. Let me try to remember some... I do have to disclaim in advance that there will not be any visual aids to accompany the list. Due to technical drawbacks and also them being food that you damn well know what they look like. Here they are in no particular reason for order.

1. Big Mac Meal, changing the drink to a milkshake.
This was a sleep-inducing, paralyzing experience for me. I had only watched the American kids do it on shows. Never actually wondering how it would feel for real.
The bovine feeling you get sinking your teeth into one of them juicy burgers, enhancing it with the taste of fries, then finishing it off with the sweet and rich slosh of the milkshake. It is a balance of taste. It gives you that little extra to ensure you are well fed. Be warned though that once you are done with this meal, you will suffer the effects of drowsiness and inability to be 100% productive. Not recommended during working days.

2. Mcdonald's Burger meal of your choice, with two 4-piece nuggets.
I know that 8 pieces of nuggets along with the meal is kind of overkill. However my justification is that ordering two 4-piece nuggets is only at 3 bucks each. Which totals to 6 bucks for 8 pieces. Opposed to ordering just the 6-piece one for 5 something. I love their barbecue sauce.

3. Superstar large combo, upgrading the fries to Chill Cheese Fries.
The price of this in total would be around the price of a medium Double Western Star combo. I still do not understand why the Superstar, which is so much more filling and has more ingredients cost cheaper than a Double Western Star. This is great for those times when a side of fries accompanying your burger is just not enough. Enter the Chili Cheese Fries to give you that extra fill of beef and cheese. The combination of cheese and the chili may prove to be a little salty though.

These trio are the ones that I can think of at the moment. I hope to share more with you as time goes on. Until then, continue to pig out while making your money's worth!

I do not spend time with liars or go along with hypocrites. - Psalm 24:6

I have been troubled for a few days over a topic which I have often revisited and ponder on for hours and days on end. The Christians in church. I believe I have bitched about this same topic before. However I also believed that what I wrote before was not that great of an impact. People may have probably read it and went "He ain't talking about me!" Well today I will make it clear, that I am addressing all of you Christians. All of you who go to church every weekend to sing songs to God, listen to His words. I actually just summarized all that you do every weekend. Sure you can go into detail about how you go to church to rehearse before the actual service, have "fellowship" with friends. What else?

At this point some of them are probably thinking that is not true and that they also go for cell/caregroups and their Youth Fellowship at college/highschool. It is just added quantity of the same quality.

I hate, I despise your religious feasts;
I cannot stand your assemblies.

Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings,
I will not accept them.

Though you bring choice fellowship offerings,
I will have no regard for them.

Away with the noise of your songs!
I will not listen to the music of your harps.

But let justice roll on like a river,
righteousness like a never-failing stream!

Did you bring me sacrifices and offerings
forty years in the desert, O house of Israel?

Amos 5:21-25

This was contributed by Ewokie as he too shares the similar distaste and gave his piece of mind via the passage which he strongly believes.

I noticed that the younger generation of Christians today are all about the latest Christian music, the latest album by the current popular group. Their latest concert, their merchandise. They get together sing the same songs which is the medium of helping them get along together. The thing in common they have which serves as an excuse to hang out together. Some of these people can even play musical instruments and play those music that they have listened together. Sounds pretty fun right? But that's just it. It is fun. They do it because its fun. Do they even think for one second what they are singing, what they are playing, what the song is about, who is the song for? They will be able to answer you that. But they do not necessarily put forth any true feelings when singing those songs. It has come to the point it is more like a ritual that they do, for the sake of doing. Weekend in, weekend out. Same things. With the occasional concerts which they all go to, to sing and dance and feel good about themselves.

Where are the words of God? Where are the beliefs for practice? Where are the actions to put forth and lead by example to the world? Sing and listen on weekends and that is it? Go to Youth Fellowship on Fridays, listen and get into the 'zone' for those hours and that is it? Everything else on every other day it is all about how fun they are having with their lives, with their friends or how tragic their lives are with all their problems. Not once do these people practice what they have learnt through scripture. Not once have they ever testify how the teachings that I assume they have learnt have been put to good use. Especially now, the days of the internet, I do not hear about how their faith and knowledge in their beliefs have helped them or not even hear any reviews and reflections they have on life.

I am not surprised at all and I do not feel sympathetic when people who are not Christians, criticize us Christians about our shortcomings about the things we do that are a nuisance to others. They do not even understand themselves and yet they want to go telling others on how they should live? Come on!

You Christians who weekend in, weekend out do the same rituals you do, keep to your own circle not wanting to have anything to do with others who do not share your views and interests. It has become like a clique, a society. You talk about the latest songs, the latest albums like commercial consumers.

You who get baptized who proclaim to people that you are Christians do nothing for others. Think nothing of others. Only keeping to yourselves. Showing others around you like-minded as you how good and holy you are... by doing nothing.

Matthew 6:1-18
You who do good deeds to be admired by others. You who pray in public places where everybody can see you. You who fast and act as if it is difficult that other people will admire you. Hypocrites.

Matthew 23
You who dress up to go Church and behave oh so friendly, cheerful and proper. You who give tithing but neglect the important teachings. You who look righteous and pure on the outside but are filthy and rotten on the inside.

These are among the main reasons why I choose to no longer associate myself with the place I grew up in, where people turned their backs on me. The place where superficiality and artificiality fester and thrive.

I'm Going to Make This Pencil... Disappear!

I finally was able to watch The Dark Knight last night. I went with my regular party, except this time Shawn replaces Marcus, as Marcus is in the land of rising sun. Also I found out today he watched it without us last week. Faggot.

I usually have lots to criticize about movies. This one left little to no room for me to do so. It was well laid out. After all it had two and a half hour so I guess that was enough time for them to pace things out nicely. Since I do not really have much to complain about the movie, I shall move on to the audience in the cinema.

There was this guy. Not a kid mind you. A guy who freaked out everytime the Joker's face appeared on close up during the movie. He had his fist in his mouth and he looked as if the Joker was coming right for him. *roll eyes* Seriously man... you need to reduce whatever it is that you have been smoking/taking.

Michael Caine plays his role as Alfred so naturally that I think it was a walk in the park for him, like free money. Morgan Freeman played his usual upright, righteous person with full of integrity. Gary Oldman managed to make the character Gordon a respectable and loveable character rather than in previous renditions of the character where he was just a side thing. Maggie Gyllenhaal is a better replacement of Katie Holmes as Rachel Dawes and manage to add more color to her character. Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent was able to draw attention in getting people to hear him out, his story of how he came to be who he was. In short all the main characters were fully colored and vibrant with detail that none of them seem to pale in comparison.

MY Miracle

The last day of being stuck doing nothing at the client's place. Today was not so bad as I had access to the internet for the entire day this time around.

This time around I did not feel bad about not being of any help at the workplace because it was apparent that the materials were not all ready and provided for their designer to lay out. It was pretty messy for him and I could see that. I feel bad for him though. He is a nice guy and has far more experience in terms of layout compared to me. Here is was being thrown a totally new concept created by me and also with articles that have a lot of specifics which made it least flexible. This in turn would involve more parties, relying on them to determine necessary changes which further delays the completion of the publication. I just hope everything goes well for him.

I hate seeing nice guys having to clean up the mess of other people. You might think, "Hey they hired him!" That is true, but we are all human. They should consider the shit that their employees have to go through.

* * * * *

I was getting ready to face the molestation and stench of the LRT when a miracle was bestowed upon me. Rayn called and offered to give me a ride home. I did not think it was a good idea because it was well out of her way. She insisted so what was I to do? I am eternally grateful for the things she does for me. I daresay these days, most girls expect to be driven. Most girls expect to be treated. Most girls expect their guys to be slaves/pets where they can be called and dismissed at any time they wish. Those are the girls that I will never get.

Thanks baby!

Loaded Retarded Transit

So I had to travel all the way to the city today because I was assigned to supervise a client's designer for the layout of their publication. I really am not needed there and I was right. The entire day I did nothing but explain a few technicalities of the layout to their designer. I feel so wasted in terms of energy and time. They had better not complain that my services sucked. They do not even have half the material ready for the lay out.

* * * * *

I had to take the LRT on the way home and boy was it jam packed. There was walls of people queuing up to buy tickets. Waiting an hour did not seem to make a difference. Just wasted my own hour doing nothing. Everybody all squeezed in tight in the train making it exactly like those train scenarios you would know about in Japan. I actually noticed on the train today... that the people who often rush to grab seats on the train are women and people with dark colored skin. Yes I am being a sexist and racist all at one shot. I do not mean to but that is from my observation. I am not talking about old women either. I am talking about women in their prime. The people with dark colored skin have a variety of people locally all the way to the continent of Africa. To think I have to do it all again tomorrow. Thank God I do not work in the city nor do I have to commute. Traveling was the hardest part.

* * * * *

Rayn was nice enough to take my body(because my mind was not there) to 1U to attempt to get tickets to Dark Knight again. When we arrived at GSC, the queue was up until the pie shop. I was like "Fuck this shit." and tried TGV. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were so many seats available for Dark Knight at TGV on Thursday. It was almost empty. It was cheaper too hah! After getting the tickets, I then accompanied Rayn to another boutique to get another piece. Wow she has been buying lots of new stuff these two weeks. Oh well, I guess she's in the spirit of the Malaysian Mega Sale event thing.

Young punks. I fucking hate young punks. They think they are so smart answering you back. Hey I welcome a good challenge of witty intelligent responses. Keeps me sharp. But when they say stuff to me that do not even make sense or sound like they are on topic... What the fuck mate!? I can't even give an appropriate reply. I then feel the urge to explain to them where they are currently at to keep them on the track but then I say to myself "Why should I be explaining this shit to them?" Which makes me feel like an idiot trying to explain something to someone who would never get it. Then I go "Fuck this shit." What a way to ruin/end my night. Fuck you guy. I hope the girls around you are smart enough to know you for who you are bro. Or if they are stupid as fuck, then nevermind.

P is for...

Yesterday Rayn got me from work and we headed to 1 Utama to purchase movie tickets for Friday. It will be the last week that we will be seeing Marcus for a long while as he is going to Japan for at least a couple of months. So I thought we had dinner and a movie with him before he leaves next week. Naturally we all wanted to watch the Dark Knight. Guess what? All 3 cinemas that were screening it were fully reserved. I saw 'R's all over. This was bullshit. How can they allow almost the entire cinema to be reserved? I remember that they had a certain amount of seats allocated for reservations. So the second option was Hellboy 2. I am not really expecting much from it though if it is anything like the first one.

Before we went home, I decided to get myself dinner as my dad was out of town and my mom did not want to have dinner. I decided to go for pizza as I have not had that for a long time. While waiting for my pizza I accompanied Rayn to a couple of clothing boutiques where she was looking for new threads to buy.

We both went home happy. I got what I wanted. She got what she wanted. We got what we wanted.

WANTED

So last night Rzeznik asked me out for a movie. I decided to bring Marcus and Rayn along. Marcus because our trio when brought together produce hilarious chemistry. I invited Rayn along because she wanted to watch a movie. So I thought why not kill a few birds with one stone. Yeah I bend the stone.

This time around Rzeznik showed up late because his 3rd and apparently final day of 'tranquility' had been disrupted by 2 out of the 3 women in is life that seem to cause him a lot of strife. He had to pick up his mom and sister from two very separate and distant location before finally making his way to 1 Utama.

Marcus, Rayn and I decided to start dinner without him as we were hungry and could not wait for him. I was explaining to Rayn that Marcus and I were observationalists where we look at other people and make wise cracks about them. I am not even sure if I used the word right. Needless to say when 2 or 3 of us are gathered, funnies will definitely be with us. Through our humor and insults I actually am able to see things in different perspectives as portrayed by my comrades in comedy. I am proud to know these people. Sometimes it makes me arrogant and think less of other people's attempt at humor. Either they are too clean, or too predictable or too lackluster.

* * * * *

On with the show. We watched WANTED. It is an action movie based on a comic. It is about some guy who leads a very sad, dull and insiginificant existence. One day the world that he knew was suddenly did not matter anymore where he is called to take on a greater role in life. He changes from a pathetic loser to a more confident and colored character.

This film was above average. You know how I usually had criticisms about films especially when it was not put together well. I had little problems with this one. The well distributed action scenes were enough to keep the film from getting boring. There were also pretty subtle-yet-not-so elements in the film which made it 'fuller'. Kind of like having sesame seed on your burger bun.

The action in the show was definitely fun. My suggestion is to watch this movie without caring much about the story line. It does have a decent one but if you have less expectations, you will definitely enjoy the action. This game succeeded in making me want to play a racing car game and a first person shooter game. Now when is GTA4 coming out for PC again?

Worldwide Invitational in Paris!

The Blizzard Worldwide Invitational was held in Paris, France during the weekend. I missed the opening ceremony of the event on Saturday thinking that our ISP would be too sucky for live streaming. I decided to give it a shot later in the evening for the heck of it. Apparently I was to download a 3rd party software to stream. It worked out very well actually with very minimal lag despite our connections being shit these couple of weeks.

Thanks to them providing this option, I did not feel bad about not being able to be there in person. It was on this day that Diablo 3 was announced! AMAGAD! DIABLO 3! It has been about a decade since Diablo 2 came out. Back then I did not really understood the whole story and lore behind Diablo and just played it as a hack and slash game. I was 14, come on. Thanks to the internet and emergence of many new features which make information finding a breeze I am now up to speed with what is happening in the world of Diablo, which is actually called Sanctuary.

Blizzard started off last Monday by showing a splash page on all their websites which changed every 24 hours to slowly reveal what was underneath. Forums were going crazy where people were discussing, debating, arguing over the theories of what it could have possibly be. It started out as something icy which definitely threw people off because on the 6th day, which was the beginning of the WWI, it suddenly turned red and showed the Diablo 3 logo. I was so shocked with amazement despite many people nonchalantly predicting that it would have indeed be Diablo 3. I am sure worldwide everywhere people were pleasantly overwhelmed of that news.

Anyways, the first day of convention was the usual stuff where they had game tournaments as well as some keynotes on what is to come in their future games, namely Wrath of the Lich King, Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3. Nothing that you cannot already find online by all the hardworking blizzard gaming fans. I also got to see Tom Chilton's face for the first time on video. He is the lead developer of World of Warcraft and is infamous for allowing so many changes in the game that was not for the better. A lot of WoW players hate him to the very core for allowing changes that upset whatever was left of balance in the game in terms of player vs player content.

The highlight of the first day was the costume and dance competition where we got to see people dressed up as various characters from the World of Warcraft. Some of them were pretty awful in terms of physical qualifications for the characters they were supposedly cosplaying. The dance competition was pretty mediocre which allowed the above average dancers to really shine. Regardless it was worth watching. Slept at 3am.

The following day I resumed watching. It was more of tournament finals on Sunday. Needless to say the Koreans won first and second places in all the games. Surprised? To end the event there was a live concert performance started off by the now L80ETC (Level 80 Tauren Elite Chieftains). They used to be L10ETC when Warcraft 3 was out. They then progressed to become L60ETC when World of Warcraft came out. They proceeded to be called L70ETC when the Burning Crusade was released. I guess they leveled themselves up to 80 for the Wrath of the Lich King. I was surprised to learn that the lead singer of the band was none other than Samwise Didier who is also the artist for Blizzard.

The biggest wow of the night was the performance by the orchestra Video Games Live. Where they performed famous themes and songs from the Blizzard games like Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo and World of Warcraft. They even had a guest performer. I forgot his name but he was the lead guitarist in Paul McCartney's old band Wings. I wish I could have been there for the orchestral performance. I slept at 3am on Monday morning. Was freaking tired for the rest of the day at work but it was worth it. I think it beats staying up to watch people running around kicking balls.

Where The Hell is Matt?

I came across this very interesting video showing this guy dancing all over the world and then putting it together as a video. It has made him famous and I think it is pretty interesting that he documented the places of his journeys and actually had fans dance with him.

Cowball Noodles

I love it whenever my dad goes to town. It feels like some kind of old fashion experience whereby the dad of a household goes to town and will bring back goodies for his kids. Obviously my dad went to town today and I asked him to get me beefball noodles. I would like to tell you the name of the shop but I can't. I never knew the name of the shop. All I knew is where to find it and it has been around for a pretty long time. I remember the first time I ate it was when I was studying in high school.

Beefball kicks fishball's ass any day. The taste and texture is nothing like that of fish. This dish is not the soupy type. It is 'dry' noodles mixed with minced beef. The taste of it fills me up with delight and somewhat comforts me. I guess this would be one of my comfort foods. The best part is, I rarely like noodles or soupy kind of food. This is one of the greatest exceptions.

The thought of beef makes me crave for it even more. I feel like eating burgers and steaks now.

A Tribute to my Dad... and Dog.

Last weekend was pretty eventful for me. Though I do not miss borings weekends. As most of us celebrate Father's Day during the weekend I also experienced the passing of my cherished friend, Mocha.

Allow me to give a little story of how Mocha came to be and how she came to pass.

Back in the ending of 2000. Jason and Jou Li dropped by my place with a surprise. It was a small furry... round thing that resembled a teddy bear. The first thing she did when she came into the house was head straight to under the sofa and slept. She had this pretty sleepy yet apathetic look about her which made her look extra adorable. She was pretty oblivious and unafraid of most things, except thunder. I spent a lot of time with her and she was always very energetic. She is also plays very rough. It is how we played that I believe developed her into a very tough and hardy dog in her later years. When I taught Mutu how to sit on chairs and sofas, she would struggle and follow suit. Failing the first umpteenth times only to succeed eventually. Everybody from far and wide in the neighborhood will drop by just to visit her. They all thought she was so cute and for that my house became quite well known to dog lovers all around. She was always friendly with everybody who would want to make friends. Sadly even with people that did not like dogs. I taught her many things and I felt so lucky for her being so intelligent, that she learned things so easily and so quickly. I even manage to teach her things without using food as bribe which most other people do. I believe she grew up to be a really beautiful dog. I was told that she had a various combination of ancestry some of which included the Labrador Retriever and German Shepard breed. Her and obedience of a Labrador and subtle color scheming of the German Shepard was pretty noticeable. Despite her gentility towards humans, she is pretty intelligent and ruthless. There was a time when Mutu; my family's miniature Pinscher got lost for the second time because he somehow escaped or got locked out of the house. I had a dumb idea to let Mocha try to track him down, which to my great surprise she did. All I did was talk to her like I always do, and asked if she could find Mutu. She may be a domestic pup but she certainly had a little hunting skill in her whereby any small creature that trespassed into our area would be killed mercilessly. Her long record of kills include rats, shrews, birds, cats and even chicken. I have no idea how the chicken got into my garden but Mocha helped herself to it.Towards the end, we noticed that she had wounds appearing randomly all over her body. We took her to the vet for a check up. The vet was pleasantly surprised at how well Mocha behaved. She was all calm when the vet drew blood for some tests. To our dismay, the vet diagnosed her having some rare genetic disorder whereby the body's immunity system attacks itself. Much like the human's Lupus. Prescription of steroids were given to her for the rest of her life which was a necessary evil to help slow the process of her disease. Towards the end, the disease was more evident. Signs of the illness advancing was apparent whereby wounds appeared more frequent as well as her losing hair. Despite all of this she still fought on, living her life normally as she could. Until last Friday. I noticed that she did not want to eat her dinner but rather just lay down and rest.

On Saturday I heard a cry from her. I quickly rushed to check what was going on and she already showed signs that she did not have much time left. All I could do was be at her side caressing her and comforting her as best as I could and hoped that she got rest. A few hours into the evening she was gone.

My father and I buried her that night. I was more relieved than sad. That I did not have to make the decision of euthanasia and that if she suffered on her deathbed, it was only for a day or two.

* * * * *

Speaking of my father, I took him out for dinner on Sunday evening to Fish & Co. My dad actually went without much resistance. I guess it was because my mom mentioned how affordable the prices were for the portion received. It was also pretty fortunate that Fish & Co had a Father's Day special where ordering two main meals would get you one free. I was actually hoping to take my dad to The Ship seeing as all of us have not been there for more than a decade. I thought it would have been great to take him to a place which hopefully was old school. I have yet to find out.

What a Bizzatch

So I saw an ad in the newspaper yesterday advertising saying that a person could work from home part time or full time with listed salary range that proved to be quite enticing.

The ad stated to sms a person called Kelly if people were interested to find out more. I decided to give it a try thinking that I had nothing to lose. Finding out more about a job was nothing.

I just received a phone call from some person saying she received my sms and was from the company. She called me by a name that obviously was not mine when I did not leave any traces of my name in the sms I initially sent. So I thought I would be courteous to get that cleared saying that it was not my name. This woman gets all defensive and say that she is not Chinese hence she would not know how to pronounce my name. I kept saying that it was not my name at all to begin with but she seemed like she did not get it.

What I really hated was that the way she spoke sounded as if I was disturbing her and that I somehow pissed her off. She had barely explained much of what was required and asked me if it sounded interesting. She also then proceeded to ask if I was interested on taking the job when I had not even heard much about the job.

I finally got pissed and said to her "Well if you want me to answer that right now, then I will say I am not interested." Before I could even explain my reasons she just abruptly said 'thank you' and hung up the phone.

I was not going to take that kind of shitty attitude from a stranger. I hope nobody in desperate need of a job would take that kind of attitude from her just to get a job. This is what happens when you get asshats to work. This is what happens when you hire people who lack the qualification to work. I am especially pissed off because there is no way I could report to her superiors about how rude she is to potential employees.

I hope she gets run over by a truck.

Sproing!

I have given another attempt at running a group blog with my friends who over the past years have seem to developed a knack for blogging. This blog hopefully will try its best to keep related to the main goal of giving our views and thoughts on stuff that is happening in the world today, mainly in Malaysia. There are so many interesting incidents happening in the local news that provides us with ample of ideas to write.

Hopefully it works out!
Take a stroll to MYopick if you will.

Many Processes in a Second

No, its not a super processor chip for a computer. It is my brain. Not sure about the rest of you, but I tend to be able to think of many things in a moment. It feels like my mind runs from one location to other being inquisitive, trying to take in as much as it is possible to absorb. There are so many things which I wish to put down in writing, but when my fingers reach the surface of the keys, my mind tends to scatter everywhere not knowing what to talk about, which to talk about first.

If I could place what is on my mind, it would seem like redundant, repetitive posts everyday but when examined closely, it would be revealed that it is looked at with different angles and would have different details if just ever so slightly.

* * * * *

Where do I begin tonight. I accompanied Rayn to look for a new pair of shoes today to my somewhat reluctance. Don't get me wrong. I am not the stereotypical guy who hates to accompany their girlfriends shopping and would do what they can to escape it. On the contrary, I do enjoy accompany girls shopping. It is just that today I was really tired. I have not been getting enough rest due to disturbances whilst sleeping. Stuff like stupid dogs barking nonstop at high pitches, weather becoming warmer and humid and the occasional weird dreams.

We had lunch before we went looking for shoes. Over lunch we talked about the stuff that happened during her time at church today. She usually tells me stuff like what the message about and who spoke on it. Whenever talks about how people should live their lives arise, I tend to talk and talk and talk in response. Which led me to explain why I left the church which I have been a part of all my life. Which led me to explain why I am not seeking another church at the moment.

The summary of it is very simple. Claiming to be of a religion (in this case a Christian) marks yourself under a certain standard. It means the person has to live in a way that is a good testimony to others, especially the people who are not of the same religion as the believer. It puts the person in a certain expectation that the person has to fulfill.

Now with this prior knowledge and basis of the case set. As a fellow 'Christian', I have been treated like an outcast. I have been looked as not one of 'them'. I am not sure for what reasons exactly they see me this way, but my speculations would be because I do not kow tow to them mindlessly.

The community is very funny. Not 'ha ha' funny. Odd funny.

They expect the young people to respect the elders. I was even deceived before that people were suppose to respect their elders as part of the requirements in the Bible. I searched and search and could never find any passage, any verse that said that we had to respect our elders. Respect and honor our parents? Yes. Respect other people that do nothing to earn your respect? No.

I have a few verses from the Bible I would like to share. This is aimed specifically at those people who think they are very righteous. You righteous people, humor me a bit. Give me face by reading the passages I put before you. I hope you would be smart enough to sincerely and honestly reflect upon it.

Matthew 6:1-4
Giving to the Needy
1.Be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
2.So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honoured by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full.
3.But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
4.so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Proverbs 20:11
Even a child is known by his actions, by whether his conduct is pure and right.

Ephesians 6
Children and Parents
1.Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2.Honour your father and mother— which is the first commandment with a promise—
3.that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.
4.Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Gradually

It was not too long ago I faced a low point in my life. I thought of giving up and reforming what I had to do when all I heard was a mixture of "you are only escaping from the problem" and "you did what you could". Naturally being myself, I heard being accused of escaping; trying to take the easy way out more than the other which made myself stay put in my current job to see what happens.

Today an ironic thing happened. I heard that my superior/colleague; boss' business partner tendered his resignation and he will only be around for 2 more months. Which is the amount of notice time as per company's policy. He has been in the company for 9 months and has even been made a business partner. Never would I have ever imagine him just leaving like that. I guess I am not the only one that face pretty demanding performance.

This feels like university all over again when I had a final project and one of my team mates bailed out halfway and left me for dead with the horrible team mate who was only good at making excuses for his lack of... well anything really. I am not saying my boss is like that in anyway. I just am reminded of being abandoned and left clueless as to what to do next. He was the one who taught me everything I needed to know regarding the work I had in the company including how to manage and juggle several job at once. He was the one who helped me make head or tails of any job as I am inexperienced. When he goes, I have no idea how I will manage.

I do not wish to think that it will just be me and my boss for a long while in the company because I am sure he will expect me to do a whole lot more other than what I signed up to do.

What am I going to do?

Servers Down... Again...

Which explains why you may notice a new post here. A post since a long while. A long while since I posted. A lot of things have been happening for me. Unfortunately I cannot say that most of them were good. I am still holding on to my belief that the storm will calm... eventually. I guess this is the makings of a person who has a life.

Yesterday I went for lunch with Rayn at Centerpoint. We were queuing up to validate our ticket at a machine. There was this group of 3 people in front of us consisting of two girls and one guy. One of the girls loudly exclaimed that there was something wrong with the machine due to it not accepting her parking ticket. The very obvious problem was her. that she did not insert the card in the right position. Now I would normally just mock her under my breath and go about my own way when so happens they were heading the same direction. I guess we parked in the same area. I could not help notice that both the girls had awful sense of style in dressing. The one who was dumb enough to wrongfully accuse the ticket machine, was wearing some ugly green dress, with those short sleeved puffy shoulders as well as a puffy skirt hem that was elastic and would 'fit' at the bottom; in this case mid thigh. In addition to this sight, she wore a leotard type pants which should have been left behind in the 60s and stayed there where it belonged. Hehe... leotard rhymes with retard...

We got to the car and proceed to the exit when this SUV made a dash and a sudden halt at the exit bar where you were supposed to insert your ticket for exiting. It looked as though the driver did not notice there was a bar blocking the exit and that people actually needed to do something to have it allow passage. The driver overshot the ticket reader and was almost 2 feet away from it. I could see the driver frantically searching for the ticket now knowing where it was placed. An annoying wait afters, the back passenger tries to reach out to slot the ticket into the reader and failed miserably. The passenger then opens the door and stretches over to slot the ticket in. The reader now does not accept the card. The back passenger still tries and tries not knowing why the ticket will not be read. From Rayn and my distance, we could see that they were trying to fit the wrong card into the machine. If you are guessing that perhaps these were the same bunch of retards we saw earlier, you are right. They were the same idiots. The number plate on the vehicle reveals that they are not from around here too.

How do these people get by with their lives!?

Vroom Vroom Vroom

So I drove tonight. Yeah you heard me! And I still am quite smooth with it. Nyahahaha...
